Post by cameron57 » Sat May 10, 2014 4:35 pm

Hey guys im new to this fuel injected thing and just wanted to say whats up and see if I could get some help maybe getting my car to idle. My setup is a 94 mustang gt with hci and a on3 turbo. It has the pmas hpx maf, ford racng x303 cam siemens 60lbs injectors 70mm on3 turbo, 1.6 roller rockers, holley systemax upper and lower stock tb and some old for racing heads i cant remember which ones they are but alan root designed them in the 80s they are aluminum. Anyway I have a qh and binary editor I am running 91 octane and have adjusted the high low slope of injectors, maf transfer.I have turned off egr, o2, forced open loop, and turn off thermotractor. Base timing is set at 10 degrees with the spout out. I have my min at 25. What am I doing wrong I cant keep it running for more than a minute. I have been reading stuff for the last two months and I am still having a very hard time. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Cameron

Another question I have is if I rename my calibration is that ok or does it have to stay the exact same letters. For instance my computer is UP40 can i change that to tune1?

You can rename the calibration to whatever you want when you save it. I like to date mine and a small note to help remember what changes I made. I might also suggest keeping a Word pad or Note pad file somewhere, and make note of changes you made in your tune along the way. Up the Idle to 1K rpms, It will make it easier to keep the car running to get data logs and see whats going on with the car. Keep an eye on the WB and make your adjustments small, and one at a time. It's easy to loose track of your changes real quick, especially if the car is giving you a lot of grief. Best of luck, hope this helps.
