Is a wideband needed to fine tune my 94 gt?
I thought my car was having transmission issues because everytime the car would shift up to the next gear it would start bucking and shaking. Doesn't do it in idle, only in drive. Around 1300-1800 rpm and especially noticeable when going uphill. I thought I had TCC shudder but after putting in some dr. tranny shudder fix (basically just concentrated friction modifier) the problem still persists leading me to believe that it is cam/tune related. I think the air/fuel ratio is way off and results in shaking and bucking in low rpm. So do I need to get a wideband to get rid of the problem? Or can this be done without the wideband?

put new o2 sensors in it and make sure its in closed loop and they are controlling fuel correctly, that will tell you what you need to know, you don't need a wideband for that

If the o2 sensors were bad wouldn't I be getting a check engine light?

I bought a wideband because I'll probably end up going forced induction later down the road, but I will replace all o2 sensors when I install it. Thanks for the tip!
