Happy with my TwEECer.
Wow, this thing is great, I only have tweeked my car three or four times, and my car is pulling harder on the top end, and I fixed my surging idle with it yesterday. :)

Do you care to give more details what you did to improve your surge at idle?Lars wrote:Wow, this thing is great, I only have tweeked my car three or four times, and my car is pulling harder on the top end, and I fixed my surging idle with it yesterday. :)

Re: Happy with my TwEECer.
Yeah, I bumped my idle_in_gear and idle_in_neutral scalars from 672 to 944 on both and it idles great. It was hunting from 500 to 1500 after I installed my electric fan (guess 30+ amps put a bit of a load on the alt.). I have a little bit of a hang in the idle when rolling up to stop lights etc. but at least it's not trying to die now.Brian-Mc wrote:Do you care to give more details what you did to improve your surge at idle?Lars wrote:Wow, this thing is great, I only have tweeked my car three or four times, and my car is pulling harder on the top end, and I fixed my surging idle with it yesterday. :)

So now your car is idling around 1000 rpm on your tach?Lars wrote:Yeah, I bumped my idle_in_gear and idle_in_neutral scalars from 672 to 944 on both and it idles great. Follow the instructions on this site and you can get that idle back down. My car idles at 780 and never hunts. Just upping the idle is hiding the real problem.

Thanks Pt, I'm gonna give that a shot, I really wanted the idle lower so I could hear my cam a bit. I set it up the way it is now so it would quite dying. :?pthornton wrote:http://www.nilesedge.org/wiki/index.php ... alibration

You should be able to get it down, I've got a TF Stage 2 at 950 rpm, and I think I can get it down to 875 or so...
