I'm not opposed to it, however I'm not really compelled to listen to books while driving. I've got too many podcasts that I'd rather listen to than listen to a narrator read a book.

But then again, I've never been much of a book-reader. Reading for relaxation or entertainment has never been a thing for me. I'd much rather read tech info than fiction. But that's just me.

Kind of an odd question for a Ford tuning forum. But it is in the Lounge. I do have to admit my initial suspicion, based on the title, was that this would end up being spam to be deleted when I opened it.

I'm all about podcasts too - perfect for those long drives. What's your current favorite podcast to tune in to for tech insights?

I opened the topic with the goal of asking if people have the same interests as me, and I think it won't turn into spam like you think. Anyway, thank you for reading and giving your personal opinion.

For tech talk, my main one is the Linus Tech Tips (LTT) WAN Show which airs every Friday night on YouTube. I never listen live. I just download and listen at various times throughout the week. If I happen to drive long distances, I'll save up a few weeks worth.

If my wife's with me, she has podcasts she listens to called The Viral Podcast. Be forewarned if you aren't familiar with it, it's a somewhat hilarious form of lowbreau foul. One of the hosts also does a series called Trailer Trash Tammy. The name should give you a hint as to just how lowbreau and crude it is.

For my everyday entertainment, I don't watch traditional TV at all anymore. It's all a mix of Netflix and YouTube channels:
Cleetus McFarland (many people here would like this channel)
The other LTT channels
The Why Files
Big Clive
AvE
Smarter Every Day
Veritasium
Old School Stereo and Williston Audio
Project Farm
Engineering Explained
Tech Ingredients (really great stuff)
Quint BUILDS
Mentour Pilot

Between all these, there's usually plenty to keep up with on a daily basis. And if you pay for YouTube Premium (or download them in other non sanctioned ways), you get no commercials except those the creators put directly into the vids.

Thank you for sharing the playlist. I'll try it out in the car after work today

The WAN Show can be listened to as an audio-only podcast since the vast majority of the podcast is just 2 guys sitting at a desk having conversations about tech stuff (mostly computers, games, AI, and phone topics). However there are visual aspects where they screen-share that will get lost listening-only.

As for the content on all the other Youtube channels I mentioned, most of that doesn't make for good audio-only content.

Ive been listening to the Unashamed podcast with Phil, Jase and Al Robertson. Its a really good podcast. They tell stories and through the bible. Very entertaining.
