Anything about Ford EEC tuning. TwEECer and Moates questions dominate, but there's some SCT and OBD-II knowledge too.

Injector values for FRPP LU47 injectors

Post by mr502go » Sat Mar 26, 2022 10:41 pm

Please forgive me if this topic has already been discussed. i am getting back into the fox game after many years. I am hoping someone can give me the PIDs that correspond to FRPP injectors. . . specifically

MINPW
FNPW_LSCOMP
FNPW_HSCOMP
FNPW_BKCOMP
FNPW_OFFCOMP

Also, how do I calculate the correct injector breakpoint from the FRPP specs for the injjectors. I will be using LU47 injectors.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Yer in luck.

I used those same injectors on my 408.
Here is what I remember changing in Binary Editor:
MINPW .687msec
Injector Breakpoint .000013 lb
Injector High Slope 46.82 lb/hr
Injector Low slope 51.59 ib/hr
Injector Offset vs. Voltage
volts mSecs
15.94 .7188
15 .7188
14 .8125
13 .9375
12 1.0625
11 1.25
10 1.4688
8 2.2813
6 6.5938
(Now to those more knowledgeable than I, please chime in if I missed something.)
If you're using a pre-95 car as the base, (Again, I think the USCAR connector conversion started in 1996, but feel free to update that too.) the Old Injectors have a Jetronic connector (Electrical) These injectors use USCAR connectors. Do a search on eBay for "USCAR" You can buy the Plug in adapters or do some soldering with the pig tails. IMO soldering makes a cleaner install, if and only if, you know how to solder them correctly.

If you watch the Moates YouTube (Moates Tuning Class 2015) videos on their products, they recommend the Ford injectors because Ford publicly publishes all the info you need, with just some unit conversion work to use their data.

Attached is Ford's date sheet for these injectors:

To those reading this and wondering if the discount non-Ford injector set is worth saving a few bucks:

If you go to :https://performanceparts.ford.com/part/M-9593-LU47 , at the bottom of the page are calibration sheets for ALL of Ford's injectors. Both old and new injectors are listed.

Yeah, Ford's injectors are more pricey, but how much time (AND $4+ per gallon gas these days) will you spend dialing in the low cost specials you bought?
