Tweecer writing to multiple positions...

Post by SVTCobra50 » Mon Apr 28, 2003 12:27 pm

Mine is doing the same thing. I am waiting 10 seconds between writes and this is concerning me.

And 1 more weird thing...Is anyone else having this happen

When i make some changes to a tune, I start the car up and it idles fine. Then when i try to drive it just dies and is extremely hard to start :( It starts and misses, sputters and dies if you try to let out on the clutch.

I thought it was a fluke, so i started fresh and made the same changes to a eec bin file and saved. The tune worked for a day then the next time I changed the littlest thing, it bombed again.

I don't have the double write problem, but I have had your second problem a couple times. I don't know a fix, I figured it might make you feel better to know you are not alone.

I have read from time to time to double check the last values in your MAF transfer to make sure it hasn't by some magical force changed to a "0"

Hmm, well Chris Mureen has reported having the same problem and I have not been able to replicate the problem. I am adding an extra verification of the encryption process to double check the file before saving to disk and after reading from the TwEECer.

Did you get yours during the DFWStangs Group purchase or more recently? What does the Board Rev display after reading/writing the tweecer??

I was referring to the problem of your tuning mods getting corrupted.
Best regards,

It was about 2 weeks ago (from dynotune perf) and it was not associated with the dfwstangs GP.

Will get the board rev for you asap.

I've said before that my old LPT Tweecer was doing this when I switched to the 1.20B3 LPT software. My wideband shows 14.7 a/f at idle, all is smooth, then as soon as you start the car in motion the a/f ratio goes so lean that the display can't show it, >25:1. This only happens with 1.20B3 though. I wonder if there is some glitch in the encoding/decoding?

Someone mentioned that the MAF transfer may be getting corrupted, maybe a zero where one shouldn't be? I dunno, I just use version 1.18 instead. Later.

Encryption? What is that for? In case somebody hacks my computer they cannot read my config?
