Can Calcon LPT/USB co-exist on the same laptop?
I'm using our laptop for my car (TWEECER R/T) via USB. My son (rl) just got a TWEECER parallel. We can't get his to work-it won't read the EEC. And using the correct Lightning binary-it gives an error message when we attempt to download it to the Tweecer. Does the Calcon USB and Calcon LPT each use system files with the same name that are different? If so, is there a work-around so we can do this. I did re-name the STKR folder to STKR USB so when I installed the LPT version it would not overwrite the USB version.

They can coexist together -- unlike some humans....

Don,
I'd like to know what you did to get a good read on your boy's EEC. I have never been able to read the EEC in my car, I have to start with a copy from the Caledit site. It's interesting that he has the same problem with the LPT that I've had. Mine seems to work okay otherwise. Later.

We couldn't read the EEC on his Lightning. Mt '95 with the USB version worked fine.
BTW: I found that the LPT and USB version DO NOT co-exist peacefully. Whne I run the USB version with the LPT version installed, the USB version says the connection is LPT 1.

Sorry, I should have been more clear. You will have to select a different install folder for each. I usually install the LPT version in STKR_LPT. My bad.......
I have 4 different versions on my development PC........
