"EA has stopped working" when loading EA in vista...

Post by Foxfan88 » Sun Jun 08, 2008 5:32 pm

lately i have been getting an error when booting up EA, i am using vista and half the time it will give me the error and tell me windows will let me know if a solution is found, usually i close it out and boot it up again, sometimes it works the 2nd time. just have to keep rebooting the program until it works. its a game of chance lol

is there a fix for this?

Is there an error message?

It is kind of hard to fix something I can not re produce.

no error message, just says eec analyzer has stopped working, then windows tries searching for a solution and quickly says a problem caused the program to stop working correctly. windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. if it makes any difference I'm running Vista home premium 64 bit.

still had the same problem after uninstalling, deleting its folder from the programs x86 directory, then ran cuperutilities eraser and then re tried, still same problem, maybe that erase utility just sucks?? I dunno man, it helped me so much when I had my old laptop and XP its a shame I got this new one without it, I guess I'm just goin to end up hijacking either my mother or brother's laptop with xp and just using that to make it easier

I just had someone tell me that EA will not work if it is installed in any other location than what the installer place it. Is yours installed in the default location? If not try it in the default location. I will have to test this.
