Frustrated

Post by George » Thu Aug 07, 2003 9:25 pm

I have had the tweecer for about a month now and I still don't know how to use it. I have downloaded everything from the internet and everything is installed on my home PC.Everything comes up but I can't change anything. In the manual it said something about an AC adapter is needed to power up the tweecer. What does this adapter look like and where can I get one.Any help would very appreciated!

If you have the USB version then you don't need an AC adapter, plus there is nowhere to plug one in. Did you plug the TwEECer in before or after you installed the software? Did you install the BDE first before CalCon and CalEdit? What OS are you running?

Try this:
1. Remove the TwEECer form Devices in Control Panel
2. Uninstall CalCon and Caledit
3. Uninstall BDE
4. Not a real need to reboot but you can if you if you want to make sure that everything is gone.
5. Reinstall BDE
6. Reinstall CalCon and CalEdit
7. Plug in the TwEECer and when it recognizes it install the driver (C:\Program Files\STKR\Driver\)
8. Open CalEdit and you should be able to do whatever you want.

Out of curiosity, why does it matter if you install BDE before calcon and caledit? I installed calcon and caledit first. Maybe that's why I'm having problems.

BDE is the database engine. It should not matter but it was the original order that Mike said to install the software way back when.....damn I have had this thing for 2 long and not enough use of it.
