copying a file to a file with another name creates two identical copies with different names. You may still need the original file for something. You could copy the file to another folder and then rename that file, it would do the same thing. You would just have to move the renamed file to the correct folder.

It looks like the other files are newer. They have rev #'s attached. So I guess he means:

move the old file J3.dll or delete it if you don't want to save it.
copy one of the other two files to the directory where J3.dll was.
Now rename this file to J3.dll by stripping out the rev #'s. J3207.dll becomes J3.dll Ok.

J3.dll is the file the software is looking for not J3207.dll

the names J3207.dll and J3208.dll are rev 207 and rev 208 of the file J3. They are all the same file but different revisions to remove glitches or bugs or whatever.

Hey chuck,

Are you trying to install and use the CESetup.exe from our website? If so, that is for the parallel port TwEECers (2 years ago). You need the BDEInst.exe and RT120B3.EXE. The parallel port software will give the priviledged instruction error due to trying to access the LPT port. Uninstall the STKR group on the program files menu and install the RT120B3 and that should get you going.
Best regards,

Mike Glover
