PATS....new eec

Post by L.Joe » Mon Sep 01, 2003 11:11 pm

Hi I have a 2000 3.8 with code RZH0 (sticker says CUR2 though) and I cant seem to get the car to start with the tweecer in any on position except for off. I try loading the LLX3 bin with the CVAF1 strategy to read the eec and everything matches with the .bin file Mike sent me. I had sent out my eec to Mike and he says the KAM is burnt out. I ordered a new eec but they still havent sent it so there is still time to cancel if anyone here has any suggestions or is able to fix the KAM on my eec.Is there a pats disable on the cvaf1 strategy? I would really appreciate any help Thanks alot

Strategies

RZH0 and CUR2 use the same CVBA0 strategy so I would try and see if you can find CVBA0 in the list ( it is a 4 bank strategy ) and try and use the Tweecer to read the EEC-V.

This for or your knowledgebase:
LLX3 uses CDAN4, a 2 bank strategy
CVAF1 is a 4 bank strategy

Maybe you are trying to use LLX3 2 banks in the Tweecer and the other 2 in the EEC-V and it is not working......the EEC-V takes a brain fart and gets derailed into woods where it cannot find its PATS module and goes away sulking leaving you with a residue of ------------

I tried using the CVBA0 strategy but I get strange #'s. Seems the CVAF1 is the closest.

Well I got my new eec today still need to clean the J3 port and get it read. What are the chances of getting the same code as my previous eec.....CUR2, because thats what I got. Now I just need to do something about pats. I'd like to use the tweecer to do this...anyone?
