I do a lot of interstate driving and thought it would be a great idea to get a radar detector, after reading about 400 reviews I have concluded that the Bel Vector 955 is about the best bang for buck detector so I went ahead and ordered one BNIB for $145 off amazon.

I'm sure there's got to be some radar guru's here with all these mustang owners, so any insight anyone can shed is really appreciated.

It's a little too late to change my mind but im fairly confident this little unit was a good purchase, not like i speed too often any who i usually only do 25-30 over the limit but thats only on open highways with minimal bends and what not. Although if I am traveling a good distance I don't hesitate to set the cruise at 145 and just cruise. But thats not too often, probably no more than 3 or 4 times a month.

You made a good decision, IMHO. I have one of the Vector units and I can tell you that it has really good sensitivity to radar. I've been cruising through California and have evaded the scourge on numerous occasions... it's paid for itself a long time ago.

It must be provincial regulations then... BC was cool with radar.
