Anything about Ford EEC tuning. TwEECer and Moates questions dominate, but there's some SCT and OBD-II knowledge too.

Help DataLogging

Post by Tungsten » Sun Nov 28, 2010 4:16 pm

Tried out my QH with BE today. Everything worked and the car ran and idled good. I was able to change some things with the car running and it worked fine...
When I tried to Datalog the MPH and RPM gauge read high and just stuck there... I included a couple of screen shots.

That's a screen shot of after I unplugged the USB. So it was not currently trying to Datalog. I added the bottom screen shot to make sure I had the file selected correctly, The file "everything" just has to be highlighted on the right side for it to work?

Edit: While It was datalogging the MPH and RPM never changed, and I did not drive the car at all so it should have never gotten to that RPM or MPH. (car was just in driveway idling). It just shot up that high as soon as I hit "start"

its not wise to unplug the usb while its talking to the pc thats a good recipe for a corrupted tune

be sure you got the j3 port cleaned well, there's a protective film coating on the contacts, most folks think they can just brush the grease off and their good to go well no, those contacts need to be scrapped clean with either a razor or a hard object, be gentle though

are you using the latest revision of the gufb strat? did you download all the BE updates as well as the latest dot.net fix from microsoft?

are you only using 1 tune positions set on mode2? 8 single bank tunes?

be sure you write the tune to the qh with the ignition off, update only with the ignition on
