This is where the BIN Hackers and definition junkies discuss the inner workings of the EEC code and hardware. General tuning questions do not go here. Only technical/hardware-specific/code questions and discussions belong here.

GUFB - BE - What does Flag 6, bit 0 (FLAGS6_B0) represent?

Post by jestang » Fri Oct 14, 2011 8:35 am

I'm trying to diagnose a misfire/stutter problem I'm having and I noticed that flag 6, bit 0 is being set right around when I'm having my problem. I'm sure someone on here knows what this is or can somehow figure it out. Thanks guys.

If I knew, it'd be in the def file. However hopefully one of the resident BIN hackers might know. Since this truly is an EEC code question, I'm moving this thread over to the EEC Geeks area. If anybody figures out what that flag is and can give it a name, I'll update the def files to reflect that knowledge.

Thanks chris .... wasnt sure exactly where to post this question. I searched the def file but didnt have any luck so I was hoping one of the hackers might know or could find out.

just curious

are you using the ecu's fan output? or possibly have the fan enabled in the tune?

I have a wire pinned to the ecu harness to eventually use it but I am not using it at the moment and it is disabled in the tune.

I think that might be a page number in the GUFB strategy doc. Check the Tech Docs section of the forum for a copy of it.

Got it ... Doesnt seem like I met all the requirements for the lugging flag to be set though .... load was in the correct area but thats about it
