Need correct address for VBAT in CRAJ0 Def file

Post by PoweredbyEECV » Tue May 11, 2010 9:07 pm

The current address for VBAT in the CRAJ0 definition file with BE may be incorrect. When data logging it always displays and logs a 3 digit value such as 931.00 which is obviously way out of range. Can someone that knows how to verify address locations check and determine what the correct address is? The payload tab currently lists 0x0761 as the address for VBAT. I would appreciate any assistance.

Thank you,

Pops,
I contribute many hours of my own time adding descriptions for definations.

Change the number of bytes from 2 to 1.

Your preaching to the choir, is this Brian? I'm sure a few other could jump in and make the same statement, Mike?

Who, me? I get the feeling that I've missed half of an interesting conversation........ are there finally more geeks coming out to play?

As has been said, (perhaps not enough) on these processors, you can always be suspicious of 2 byte variables with an odd numbered address.

There's more than just an address that will make datalogging difficult.

Sailorbob,
I did as you suggested and VBAT now reads correctly.

Thank you for the help

Any one have the address for VBAT in CBAZA (T4M0 eec) for use in editor v2.2?

Anything CBAZA, you can open the open source def file for BinaryEditor to find the offset. Just keep in mind the value as it exists in the def file is adjusted for a NON-buffered BIN file as it relates to the Scalar/Function/Tables. However payload items, I believe, are in normal format.

Thank you,
Sure you don't have it wired directly to the power lines?

I show it at 760-761

word sized at 760,
byte sized at 761

VBAT is a 1 byte value at 0x331. A voltage of 12.0 Volts in that byte would be a value of 0xC0 in the byte.

Can't help you with that part, I'm afraid.
