New to tuning

Post by ClintD » Wed Nov 24, 2010 6:34 pm

Just started a thread to introduce my self. I'm new to the self tuning world and bought the qurterhorse and BE. I have a 1975 maverick that I put a 5.0HO EFI into with a A9P EEC/IV. So far I built a tune with a template I found on the net for 24# injectors and I imported MAF functions from a X3Z. I haven't loaded it I to the car yet due to me blowing the trans and having fun ding it. Right now it has a stock tine with a C&L MAF.
74 Ford E100, 5.0 Explorer engine with AOD transmission and is now carbureted.

1987 Mercury Cougar XR7, T5 swapped and currently in the process of HO swap

2014 Harley Davidson FLHXS.

2003 GMC Sierra 3500 6.6 Duramax untouched and used to tow anything I blow up back home.

ASE Master Technician and Advanced Level Specialist.

I have a 89 cougar with a 5.0 swap and I'm a member of TCCOA. I use the same user name for all forums. I think I talked to you on the phone once before.

Yup, trying to Learn tuning to save time and money on all of the crazy combinations of vehicles we have. So far I loaded a tune for 24# injectors,a cobra MAF, deleted air management, speed limiter, EVAP and set the rev limit to 6200. Now the car starts and purs with no issues at all. This is on my maverick. Next is the cougar, I'm just waiting for my T4M0 to come in the mail.

haha a replacement t4m0 for the one you sold me a few years back when you were trying to find an A9L ?

irconic how that works aye?

I know you and mike are bound to kick out anything, from spitting 2 cylinders in a 5.0 and making it a v6 using nothing but pipes and upper body strength to remove and reinstall an engine while during the race, you two can make anything happen lol

hang around this forum long enough and you'll pick up some pretty good info

check out my cbaza 4r70w swap thread in my 91 supercoupe

It's funny you mention a 4R70W. I'm currently looking for one to put into my maverick.
